At approximately 7:00 pm tonight 911 received several reports of gunshots heard in the area of the 9200 Block of Rainier Avenue South. A few minutes later, an unresponsive male with several gunshot wounds to his body was located on the sidewalk in the 9200 block of Waters Avenue South. Seattle Fire was immediately summoned and he was transported to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
The victim was pronounced dead at HMC.
Detectives from Homicide, the Gang Unit and the Real Time Crime Center (RTCC) are actively investigating this incident. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Seattle Police. This remains an active homicide investigation.
