Officers are investigating after man was shot Monday night in the Highland Park neighborhood.
A store clerk in the 9400 block of 15 Ave SW called 911 at 10:30 PM yesterday when a man walked into the store complaining of a gunshot wound to the leg.
Officers arrived and spoke the 53-year-old victim who said he was walking around the back of the building when he was approached by two teen boys. He described the suspects as Latino with one wearing a baseball hat. One of the boys fired a gun striking the victim in the left leg. The victim last saw the two suspects running away on 15th Ave. SW.
Officers followed a trail of blood to the back of the store and found one .32 caliber shell casing.
Medics took the victim to Harborview Medical Center where he is recovering from his injuries.
