Early Morning Injury Collision Investigation in SODO

Traffic Collision detectives are investigating an early morning single vehicle rollover collision that occurred in SODO.  Two people were transported to the hospital, one with serious injuries.

Shortly after 2:00 am, a Ford Expedition was travelling northbound on Colorado Avenue South on the flyover ramp that connects to Alaskan Way when the driver lost control, struck a curb, flipped and landed on it’s roof.  Seattle Fire responded and transported the driver, an adult male, to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.  The front seat passenger, an adult female, was also transported to the hospital with minor injuries.  A third occupant in the vehicle, an adult male, was uninjured.

Detectives from the Traffic Collision Investigation Squad responded and processed the scene.  The road reopened just before 6:00 am.  This remains an active and on-going investigation.
