Detectives are investigating after a man was struck by a vehicle Tuesday morning in the Queen Anne neighborhood.
The 51-year-old driver of a Toyota sedan was pulling his car out of a building in the 100 block of Taylor Ave. N at 6:40 this morning when heard the sound of an impact under his vehicle. The driver, believing that he hit something, immediately stopped and exited his vehicle, and found he had struck another man.The driver called 911 and remained at the scene waiting for officers and medics.
Seattle Fire Medics declared the man deceased at the scene.
An SPD drug recognition expert responded to the scene and found no signs of impairment in the driver. He was identified, interviewed and released as detectives continue to gather evidence and investigate the case.
