Update:
The 51-year-old male victim in this case has died from his injuries. The police investigation has revealed the shooting involved a 94-year-old resident, the circumstances of which are still under investigation. Seattle Police Homicide Detectives are working closely with the King County Prosecutor’s office. The 94 year old suspect was identified, interviewed, and released pending the outcome of the investigation.

Homicide detectives are investigating after a man was shot Thursday night in South Seattle.
A neighbor called 911 to report a gunshot in the 10200 block of 62 Ave. S. just after 9 pm Thursday.
Officers arrived and found a man laying on the ground outside a home with a gunshot wound to the chest. Officers conducted CPR until medics arrived and took the man to Harborview Medical Center.
Officers spoke to a man inside the home and took him into custody while the investigation continues.
