Two men were wounded in a shooting late Tuesday following a botched drug deal near the Cascade neighborhood.
Police responded to reports of gunfire in the 200 block of Minor Avenue just before midnight, and found two men–23 and 31 years old–with gunshot wounds to their legs.
Officers interviewed both victims and learned they had tried to purchase cocaine from two other men on the street. The victims had approached the men, provided them with cash, but did not receive any drugs. When the victims confronted the suspects, one of the suspects drew a handgun, shot both victims in the legs, and fled.
Both victims were taken to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Detectives are investigating the case.
