Police arrested a felon with a loaded revolver this morning after he crashed his pickup truckĀ into a building on Aurora Avenue after smoking heroin.
Around 9:30 AM, officers and firefighters responded to the 2400 block of Aurora Avenue North, after the suspect drove his truck under a deck and struck a support beam.
The 34-year-old man told firefighters and police he had smoked heroin earlier in the day, and officers found he was carrying a loaded handgun with a laser sight in his jacket pocket. Police then learned he is a convicted felon, and is unable to legally possess firearms. Officers booked him into the King County Jail for unlawful possession of a firearm and a felony warrant.
