Police are seeking a suspect after man was stabbed multiple times after he was involved in an altercation near 5th Avenue South and South Jackson Street Saturday evening.
At around 6:15 pm officers were called to a report of a stabbing at that location. The victim, a man in his late thirties, was stabbed multiple times by the suspect in the chest and abdomen during the attack. The suspect then fled the area on foot. Seattle Fire Department medics transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center. His injuries have been described as life-threatening.
Unfortunately, there is not much of a suspect description. However, according to witnesses, the suspect is described as a black male, approximately 30 years old, and was wearing a white shirt and carrying a dark jacket. He was last seen fleeing the scene eastbound on South Jackson Street. Officers searched the area but have not located the suspect.
Detectives will handle the follow up investigation. Anyone with information on this assault is asked to contact Seattle Police.
