A 20-year-old woman is recovering at the hospital after she was struck in the head last night during a shooting in South Park.
On Wednesday night at about 11:35 pm, the victim was sitting in a parked car in the 1000 block of South Donovan Street when a gold-colored sedan pulled up. The victim told officers that three Hispanic males got out and began shooting at her car. Two shots went through the windshield. After the shots were fired, the suspects got back into their car and drove off. The victim received only a grazing injury to her head. Seattle Fire responded and treated her at the scene, and then she was later transported to Harborview Medical Center.
Officers and gang detectives searched the area but did not locate the suspects. A number of spent shell casings were located in the intersection of 12 Avenue South and South Donovan Street. This remains an active and on-going investigation. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact the Seattle Police Department.
