Detectives are investigating after a man was dropped of at Harborview Medical Center (HMC) with two gunshot wounds Sunday evening.
Officers were called to HMC just before 8 p.m. Sunday by hospital staff when a man was dropped off with two gunshot wounds to the abdomen. The 29-year-old victim was currently undergoing surgery and was unable to answer questions, but a man who dropped off the victim said he picked up the victim in the 1400 block of South Lane Street and drove him to the hospital.
Officers investigating a report of shots fired in the same area where the victim was picked up spoke to a witness who reported seeing a man walking out of a nearby wooed area carrying a silver handgun. The witness described that man as a six foot tall black male wearing a large puffy coat walking towards Jose Rizal park. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate a crime scene or a possible suspect.
