Seattle police arrested a 28-year-old ride-share driver outside his Shoreline home just after midnight on Thursday after he reportedly groped a passenger hours earlier on First Hill.
The victim in the incident had been picked up by the driver Wednesday afternoon. She told police she’d sat in the front seat with the driver, and that he had begun groping her during the drive. The victim shouted at the man and told him to stop, but he continued.
She was eventually able to climb out of the vehicle on First Hill. She went to Harborview’s Sexual Assault and Trauma Center and contacted police, and provided the driver’s information, name and photo.
East Precinct Anti-Crime Team officers tracked the man down at his home in Shoreline and booked him into the King County Jail for investigation of indecent liberties.
