A 36-year-old man is in custody after he was arrested early Saturday morning following a commercial burglary in Georgetown.
On Saturday, November 25th at approximately 2:30 am, officers responded to a report of a burglary alarm at a business in the 5600 block of 7th Avenue South. A security officer also responded to the alarm and saw a suspect leave the fenced yard of the business. Officers arrived quickly and took the suspect into custody. During a search of the yard and building for additional suspects and evidence, officers recovered metal tubing and electrical equipment the suspect had piled up to steal. No other suspects were located. Additionally, the suspect had a felony warrant and narcotics on his person at the time of his arrest. The suspect was later booked into the King County Jail, and detectives will handle the follow-up investigation.
