A pair of thieves were arrested Wednesday outside a South Seattle home after a homeowner spotted them on surveillance cameras creeping around her yard.
The homeowner called police around 8pm and said that, although she was not home, she had seen several suspects break a lock on her fence and entered her yard in the 4400 block of South Camano Place.
Officers arrived at the home just as the suspects were exiting the yard and approaching a stolen car parked outside the home. The suspects saw the officers and fled on foot, but were caught a short distance away.
Police booked a 25-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman into the King County Jail for possession of stolen property after they were found in possession of stolen credit and social security cards, drivers licenses and a passport. Officers also impounded the stolen car from the scene.
