Officers arrested two people Monday after an early-morning robbery in lower Queen Anne.
Seattle police were called to the Republican Street and Warren Avenue North at 3 a.m. Monday after receiving a report that a man had just been robbed at gunpoint on the street. The victim told officers one of the two suspects pointed a gun at him and demanded his backpack before fleeing towards Seattle Center.
Officers searched the area and found one of the suspects near the Seattle Center Monorail station. The 20-year-old suspect was taken into custody without incident and officers recovered an unloaded pistol from his waistband. Additional officers found and arrested the second suspect, a 34-year-old man for multiple outstanding warrants, as well as the robbery.
Robbery detectives interviewed both suspects and later booked them into the King County Jail.
