Detectives are investigating after a teen was shot and in a south Seattle park early Saturday morning.
Witnesses began calling 911 just after 12:30 a.m. around 1:18 a.m. to report a 17-year-old boy had been shot multiple times in Martha Washington Park.
Officers converged on the park and found the teen in a wooded area suffering from three gunshot wounds. Seattle Fire Department Medics took the boy to Harborview Medical Center where he is listed in critical condition.
The witnesses told officers they had been playing in the park when a car pulled up and an unknown person began firing rounds into the wooded area. Detectives are now interviewing the witnesses in an attempt to develop a suspect description.
This remains an active investigation and additional details will be released as they become available.
