Officers arrested two men Wednesday for a series of assaults that ended with one of them in the hospital.
Officers were called to the 11100 block of Luther Avenue South just after 1 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a man who had been tied up and assaulted. When officers arrived they found the 25-year-old man who had both his arms broken and a significant laceration to his back.
Seattle Fire Department Medics transported the man to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.
Officers began interviewing family members and determined that a 19-year-old woman who lived at the home had been dating the victim. The woman said she had been assaulted by the victim Tuesday night. The victim returned to the home this morning and there was a confrontation between the woman’s 25-year-old brother and the victim. The brother then assaulted the victim resulting in the injuries.
Domestic violence detectives are investigating and have arrested the brother for investigation of assault. Detectives are also working to charge the victim in this crime with domestic violence assault for the assault of the 19-year-old woman that occurred Tuesday night.
