(UPDATE) Detectives Investigating Fatal Stabbing in West Seattle

UPDATE 8/15: Detectives are attempting to identify two men and two women associated with the July 20th fatal stabbing that occurred at 16th Avenue SW and SW Cambridge Street. All four were captured on surveillance cameras in the area of the stabbing. If you recognize any of the individuals, or have additional information, please call the tip line at (206) 233-5000.


Homicide detectives continue to investigate the fatal stabbing that occurred Friday night.

On July 20th, at approximately 9:45 pm, officers responded to a report of a person down in the street in the 1600 block of SW Cambridge Street.  Officers arrived and located the 34-year-old male victim.  The victim was unresponsive.  Seattle Fire responded and attempted life-saving measures to resuscitate the victim but they were unsuccessful.  The victim was declared deceased at the scene.

A K-9 team responded to the scene and attempted a track and King County’s Guardian One helicopter assisted with a search for a suspect from the air, but no suspect was located.

Homicide detectives responded and are handling the investigation.  Crime scene investigators responded and processed the scene. This is an active and on-going investigation.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the tip line at (206) 233-5000.
