A 37-year-old male was  shot late Thursday night at 35th Avenue SW and SW Morgan.  The victim was pronounced deceased at Harborview Medical Center.

Shortly after 11:00 pm on Thursday, August 9th, officers responded to a shooting at 35th Avenue SW and SW Morgan Street.  Responding officers located the victim on the sidewalk next to a Metro bus.  The victim had been shot multiple times.  Officers provided first aid to the victim until they were relieved by Seattle Fire medics.  The victim was transported by medics to Harborview Medical Center, where unfortunately he succumbed to his injuries.

Homicide detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded and took over the investigation.  It is believed that the victim and the unknown suspect were involved in a disturbance on the bus just prior to the shooting.  Investigators believe that both the victim and suspect got off the bus at 35th and Morgan and then the suspect shot the victim.  The suspect then fled the scene.

This remains an active and on-going investigation.  Anyone with information on this homicide is asked to contact the Seattle Police Department’s tip line at (206) 233-5000.
