Update 9/7/18:
Officers were dispatched to the 9000 block of Seward Park Avenue South to investigate a domestic violence assault at 11:30 Friday afternoon. Officers investigating the assault recognized the suspect’s name from a recent bulletin and called for additional units.
Police ordered the 48-year-old suspect from the apartment and after a brief standoff the man was taken into custody.
Homicide detectives interviewed the suspect and have developed probable cause to book the suspect into the King County Jail for investigation of homicide and domestic violence assault.
Detectives will now work with prosecutors as the case moves forward.
Original 9/2/18:
Homicide detectives are conducting the investigation after a 56-year-old man was discovered deceased Saturday afternoon.
On September 1st, at approximately 2:30 pm, officers responded to a report of a man down bleeding from the leg near 10th Avenue South and South Dearborn Street. Officers arrived and located the unresponsive male. Seattle Fire arrive and pronounced the victim deceased. Officers searched the area and located the crime scene. Homicide detectives responded to the scene to take over the investigation. CSI responded and processed the scene.
