Officers are investigating after a 36-year-old man was shot and injured in the Dunlap neighborhood early Tuesday morning.
Witnesses called 911 at 12:30 am to report a man had been shot at the Atlantic City boat ramp around 12:30 a.m.
Officers arrived and began first aid on the victim, who had been shot in the buttocks. Seattle Fire Medics took the victim to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition where he is currently recovering.
Witnesses told officers that they had been fishing at the park when they were approached by a man, who they were unable to describe. They said the suspect began shooting at them striking the victim once before he fled the scene in a silver or grey full-size SUV.
Officers recovered multiple shell casings at the scene and will work with detectives as the case moves forward.
