Homicide detectives are conducting their investigation following a fatal shooting that occurred early Friday morning in the Belltown neighborhood.
On Friday, October 5th at approximately 2:20 am, West Precinct officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 2300 block of 1st Avenue. Arriving officers located a 32-year-old male victim on the sidewalk in the 100 block of Battery Street. The victim had been shot several times. Seattle Fire Medics responded and began life-saving measures, but the victim was declared deceased at the scene.
Detectives from the Homicide Unit and CSI responded and began their investigation. There is no suspect description at this time.
