LEARNING FROM THE COMMUNITY
SPD officers recently took part in the Chinatown International District (CID) Community History Institute. This program is an opportunity for our officers working in the CID to learn about the neighborhoods rich history directly from the people who live and work in the CID.
SPD STANDS WITH KSARC
We are committed to being tireless advocates for victims of sexual assault and wholeheartedly support the KCSARC 2019 Legislative agenda. We know that sexual assault is a crime that is frequently under-reported. When sexual assault victims call police, they place a great deal of trust in our department and the criminal justice system. We want to ensure that we treat every sexual assault victim with dignity and respect. We are grateful for the work that KCSARC does and will continue to offer our full support.

While meeting with some of SPD commanders at the SW Seattle precinct, I had the pleasure of recognizing @SeattlePD officer John O’Neal for his work in W. Seattle. He was instrumental in abating drugs and violence in a S. Park neighborhood. pic.twitter.com/qkiYnVkHVp
