Detectives are investigating after a man was struck by multiple vehicles and killed in the Maple Leaf Neighborhood Friday evening.
Witnesses began calling 911 just after 7 p.m. Friday to report a man had been struck by two vehicles in the 8500 block of Lake City Way Northeast.
Seattle Fire Department medics quickly arrived declared the victim dead at the scene.
Traffic collision detectives took over the investigation and spoke with the drivers of both involved vehicles. Drug recognition officers evaluated the drivers, a 75-year-old man, and a 54-year old woman, for impairment at the scene and released from the pending further investigation.
