Detectives are investigating after a 17-year-old male was shot twice in the South Park neighborhood Monday night.
Just before 10 p.m. Monday, officers were dispatched to reports of a male who had been shot in the 1200 block of South Cloverdale Street. Officers arrived at the same time as Medics who began treating the victim for a gunshot wound to the leg and a graze wound to the back. Medics eventually transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Witnesses told officers that a man wearing a hooded sweatshirt was standing on the corner of 12th Avenue Southwest and South Cloverdale Street when he began shooting at the victim. The witness said the suspect then fled the scene northbound. The witness described the suspect as a white male, 25-30, 5 foot 10 inches wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. Officers spoke with additional witnesses who said the suspect got into an older Cadillac a sped away from the scene.
