In late March the Seattle Police Narcotics Unit received complaints concerning drug activity at 6000 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Way South.
Detectives conducted surveillance and a number of controlled buy operations which resulted in a narcotics search warrant being issued by a judge.
On Wednesday at 9 PM Seattle Police SWAT, assisted by the King County Sheriff’s Office and Seattle Police South Anti-Crime Team (ACT), conducted a narcotics search warrant. SWAT encountered the building and discovered multiple fortified doors and hidden rooms.
Narcotics detectives and South ACT conducted a search and found large 13.3 lbs of Marijuana, 42.7 grams methamphetamine, 6.3 grams of cocaine, $6,200.00, 45 caliber Taurus , 9mm Sig Sauer, 9mm Remington, one 5.56 cal Ruger Mini 14, and two sets of body armor.
A 35-year-old man was taken into custody at the scene and was later booked for firearms violations as well as drug charges.
