Update 6/1/19:
The 21-year-old victim has since died of her injuries. The Seattle Police Homicide unit has taken over the investigation and booked the 38-year-old suspect into King County Jail for investigation of homicide.
Original 5/31/19:
Detectives are investigating after a woman was shot Friday evening in the Beacon Hill Neighborhood.
Officers were dispatched to the 5400 block of Beacon Avenue South just before 7:30 p.m. for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a woman in her 20s with a gunshot wound and suffering life-threatening injuries. Seattle Fire Department Medics took the woman to Harborview Medical Center where she is currently being treated for her injuries.
Officers arrested a man in his 30s at the scene in connection with the shooting. Detectives are now trying to determine what led up to the shooting.
