Seattle Police divers were lured to Lake Washington on Tuesday after a person called SPD and implied there were body parts floating in the water near Seward Park.
An employee from the Seward Park Swim area called 911 just after 5 pm to report a swimmer had spotted, what they believed to be, a human foot and some clothing along the bottom of Lake Washington.
Divers with the Seattle Police Harbor Unit responded and began a meticulous search of the area. After searching for more than an hour and a half, divers found clothing and several large catfish, which they believe could have been mistaken for a bobbing body part.
