Officers arrested a man after he stabbed a second man following an argument at a Lower Queen Anne shelter late Tuesday.
Witnesses called police around 11pm and reported the suspect had stabbed another man following an argument in the 100 block of Roy Street.
As police arrived, they spotted the 26-year-old suspect standing outside the building and quickly took him into custody. Additional officers located the 38-year-old victim just inside the front door and immediately began first aid for a stab wound to his chest.
Seattle Fire Department Medics took the victim to Harborview Medical Center for additional treatment.
Witnesses told officers that the incident began when the victim asked the suspect to stop arguing with a third person. The suspect then took exception to this and proceeded to stab the victim before walking out the door.
Police booked the suspect into the King County Jail for investigation of assault.
