Downtown Protests, 11 Individuals Arrested for Trespass this Afternoon

Officers were called to several locations downtown this afternoon after protesters refused to leave several banks they were protesting.  Eleven individuals, six men and five women, were arrested for trespassing and will be booked into the King County Jail.

Officers began receiving calls of protestors occupying the lobbies of several banks in the 600 block of Pine, 1500 block of 4th Avenue, 1200 block of 3rd Avenue and the 1300 block of 2nd Avenue earlier this afternoon.

Many of the demonstrators left when police arrived, but seven protestors at 6th and Pine and four protestors on Fourth Avenue informed officers that they wanted to be arrested.  Officers issued several  dispersal orders and then took each of the demonstrators into custody after they refused to leave the premises. The arrests occurred without incident.

The arrested were transported to the West Precinct where they were processed and then later booked into the King County Jail for trespassing.
