Detectives are investigating after a man was killed in the South Park neighborhood early Sunday morning.
Residents called 911 just after 1 AM Sunday to report the gunshots in the 1000 block of South Donovan Street.
When officers arrived they found shell casings in the street and damage to a nearby home. Officers went to inspect the damage and found a man in his 50’s inside, who had been struck by at least one of the rounds. The officers attempted CPR but the man was declared dead at the scene.
Detectives with the Homicide unit are now combing through the evidence left at the scene and speaking with neighbors as they develop a suspect description.
