Officers Arrest Warrant Suspect After He Rams Patrol Car in Georgetown

Police arrested a wanted felon on Monday after he rammed a patrol car when officers tried to pull him over in Georgetown.

Officers patrolling the 700 block of South Fidalgo Street at 12:30 pm saw a 38-year-old man–who they knew was wanted on a warrant–parking his vehicle nearby. Officers attempted to contact the suspect, who refused to come out of his car. Police attempted to negotiate with the man but, at some point, the negotiations broke down and the suspect rammed a patrol car with his vehicle. Police then moved in to arrest the man.

One officer sustained a minor injury to his hands while taking the suspect into custody.

Department of Corrections officers took custody of the suspect and will book the suspect into King County Jail for violation of his probation.
