Officers arrested a male suspect after he shot a man in the Pioneer Square neighborhood at 1:25 am Wednesday.
Officers in the area of Occidental Avenue South and South Washington Street witnessed a shooting as they were patrolling the area early Wednesday morning. Officers chased the suspect and took the man into custody without further incident.
Medics transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center for emergency treatment of life-threatening injuries.
Detectives are now interviewing the suspect and attempting to determine what led up to the shooting.
