Man Arrested After Stabbing in Pioneer Square

Officers arrested a 43-year-old man after he stabbed a man in Occidental Park Friday afternoon.

Witnesses started calling 911 to report a fight had broken out and a person was stabbed in the 100 block of South Main Street in the Pioneer Square neighborhood.

Officers rushed to the scene and spoke with the witnesses who provided a suspect description to police. Officers searched the area and found the suspect just blocks away, where he was taken into custody without further incident.

Seattle Fire Department Medics responded to the scene and transported the 33-year-old victim to Harborview Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
