UPDATE: Detectives have identified two suspects in yesterday’s shooting. Marquise Latrelle Tolbert (age 24, 6’1″ 200 lbs) and William Ray Tolliver (age 24, 6’0″ 145 lbs). Both men are considered armed and dangerous. Call 911 if you see them or know where they are.

Detectives are conducting the investigation after seven people were injured and one person was killed, Wednesday in the 1500 block of 3rd Avenue.  The suspect(s) fled the area immediately following the shooting.

On Wednesday, January 22nd, at 5:00 pm,  Seattle Police officers and King County Sheriff’s deputies rushed to 3rd Avenue and Pine Street after callers reported shots fired and multiple victims down.

Police arrived and located multiple victims on Pine Street between 3rd and 4th Avenue.  Officers and deputies immediately provided life-saving measures, including tourniquets, to the victims until Seattle Fire medics took over medical treatment.

Seven victims, one female and five males, including a 9-year-old boy,  were treated at Harborview Medical Center with injuries from minor to life-threatening.   Sadly, one adult female victim was found fatally shot in the 1500 block of 3rd Avenue.

Witnesses told investigators that two or more male suspects were in a disturbance and began shooting at each other.  They fled the scene immediately following the shooting.

Detectives have responded to the scene and closed several streets in the area as they collect evidence and search for additional witnesses.  Investigators are still gathering information about the suspect(s).  This remains an active and on-going investigation, and information will be updated as it becomes available.

The Seattle Police Department Victim Advocates were sent to Harborview to conduct victim outreach and support their families by providing resources.
