Officers arrested a urine-soaked suspect on Sunday in West Seattle after he broke into a home, helped himself to a bottle of liquor and passed out in the resident’s bed.
Around 4:30 PM, a resident in the 9000 block of 24th Ave SW returned home and found her house in disarray, as if someone had been moving items around.
She called 911, and officers arrived and heard snoring coming from the bedroom. They entered the room and found the man lying there with his pants down. He was holding his genitals, and he appeared to have urinated all over himself, the bed, and the nearby carpet.
Officers woke the suspect up and took him into custody.
Upon further investigation at the scene, officers gathered that the suspect began staging items from the victim’s home to steal, until he took a break from crimeing to spend some time with a bottle of the victim’s brandy port.
The suspect “may have had too much of the brandy [port] and passed out because he was highly intoxicated,” an officer wrote in a report of the incident.
Officers arrested the man and booked him into the King County Jail for burglary.
*According to one of the residents of the home, the liquor was port not brandy as originally reported.
