UPDATE: On September 3, 2021, Police arrested a 24-year-old Kenmore man for controlled substance homicide in connection with the overdose death of a 23-year-old man in Seattle in August 2020. Police booked the suspect into the King County Jail and have referred the case to prosecutors.
ORIGINAL: Homicide detectives are investigating after an injured man died after he was dropped off at Harborview Medical Center Tuesday night.
On August 25th, just before 10:00 PM, officers responded to Harborview after the injured man arrived at the hospital.
Officers were informed by hospital staff that the 25-year-old male victim was dropped off by an unknown male who immediately fled when informed that police had been contacted.
The unidentified male left his vehicle at the hospital, and it was impounded as evidence.
The victim was rushed into surgery but died from his injuries a few hours later. The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
