A 35-year-old man arrived at the King County Jail just before 5:00 PM Wednesday, telling jail staff that he wanted to turn himself in for a murder he committed earlier in the morning. Jail staff then contacted Seattle Police.
Officers interviewed the man, who provided them with a location of the homicide scene. Officers went to an apartment building in the 1800 block of Minor Avenue where they located a 28-year-old deceased woman.
Detectives were called to the scene and later interviewed the suspect before booking him into the King County Jail for investigation of murder.
This remains an active and on-going investigation.
