Seattle police are investigating after a 37-year-old man was seriously injured in a shooting on First Hill late Monday evening.
Around 10:30 PM, police received a report of a shooting in the 700 block of Spring Street.
Officers arrived and found the injured victim lying on the ground.
Officers began providing medical aid until Seattle Fire medics took over and transported the man to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
Witnesses told police the victim was involved in some sort of altercation with another man prior to the shooting. The suspect reportedly fled the scene.
