#2020-284785/South Precinct/Third Watch:
On 10-5-2020 at 0047 hours, Seattle Public School security was flagged down about a shooting. Officers flooded the area and found one gunshot wound victim on the ground in the middle of the intersection of Utah Av S and S Holgate St. The victim was shot multiple times. Officers applied a tourniquet and kept the victim stable until Medic arrived. The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center by Medic One. The victim was listed as critical and rushed to surgery. The victim was identified as one of the community members living in the encampment along Utah Av S. Base. People living on Utah Av S., heard several shots but did not want to check. Approximately 12-15 mins later, they exited their tents and found the victim on the ground.
#2020-284789/East Precinct/Third Watch:
On 10-5-2020 at 0104 hours, a male reported seeing another male loitering around his neighbor’s house in the 2900 Block of Montlake Blvd. E. A few minutes later, the complainant noticed that the neighbor’s front door was wide open, so he called 911. Officers arrived, checked the residence, and found the homeowners and their children asleep inside. A check of security video clearly showed that the suspect had entered the residence and remained inside over 20 minutes before leaving on foot. The suspect was located and booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Burglary and unrelated felony warrants in his name.
#2020-284800/South Precinct/Third Watch:
On 10-5-2020 at 0145 hours, at a Sound Transit Station in Tukwila, a female walked up to a Sound Transit Security Guard and asked the Guard to order a taxicab for her. The security guard called Yellow Cab for the suspect. The Yellow Cab driver drove the suspect to an address in South Seattle. Upon arrival, the suspect refused to pay and implied that she has a gun and walked away. Officers surrounded the address provided by the victim. Officers contacted a possible suspect and identified her. The suspect was released because the victim was unable to identify her.
