#2020-227198/South Precinct/First Watch:
On 9-26-2020 at 0656 hours, a VW sedan, driven by an adult male, was southbound in the 2400 block of Lake Washington Blvd S. This roadway has been closed to vehicle traffic by Executive Order related to COVID-19 for months, and signs/barricades were in place. The vehicle struck a pedestrian in the roadway, causing substantial bodily injury. Responding officers suspected the driver was impaired and a Drug Recognition Expert concurred. The driver was booked for Vehicular Assault.
#2020-277228/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:
On 9-26-2020 at 0930 hours, officers were investigating a trespass call. Officers determined that the subject was in crisis. Officers requested AMR. While officers were attempting to assist the subject to an AMR gurney, the subject began to thrash and during the process bit an officer on the finger causing injury. The officer was treated by Seattle Fire for a minor injury. The subject was transported to Harborview Medical Center for a psychological evaluation. At this time, no hazard report was completed due to subject suffering from dementia and no identification located at the scene.
#2020-277708/East Precinct/Third Watch:
On 9-26-2020 at 2024 hours, West Precinct Taskforce was assigned to roving patrol around Cal Anderson Park. The Taskforce units were traveling in a caravan when rioters threw an unknown liquid on the trailing vehicle and detonated a commercial-grade firework adjacent to it before fleeing. The caravan continued on its way. On a second pass and near the site of the first attack, approximately 5-10 rioters surrounded the trailing vehicle and attempted to physically block and separate the vehicle from the caravan. Members of the group repeatedly struck the vehicle, some attempted to force entry into the passenger compartment, and one poured an unknown liquid over the exterior. Officers called out the incident, drove through the ambush, and escaped. All suspects fled the scene. The patrol vehicle sustained significant damage rendering it unserviceable.
#2020-277792/West Precinct/Third Watch:
On 9-26-2020 at 2220 hours, several hundred people blocked the intersection of John St/Broad St and began an illegal stunt show. Due to the ongoing demonstration management, there were no patrol recourses available to address the incident until 2324 hours. During that time there were two separate vehicle/pedestrian collisions. Two different vehicles performing a drift maneuver struck bystanders knocking them down. At approximately 2324 hours, patrol responded and dispersed the crowd. No victims or suspects were located, and no witnesses came forward. KOMO news twitter had video clips of the two incidents posted to their feed.

On 9-26-2020 at 2302 hours, a 29 years old male was riding his motorcycle NB on Airport Wy S. The rider lost control and struck a City Light pole. The male rider was ejected during the collision and thought to have serious injuries. Speed was the factor in this collision. The rider was transported to Harborview by Medic One.
