#2020-285926/South Precinct/First Watch:
On 10-6-2020 at 0832 hours, officers responded to Mount Baker Park, located at 2521 Lake Park Dr S to investigate a suspicious fire to the park bathrooms. Seattle Fire was already on scene and requested SPD respond. Upon arrival, officers observed a small wooden sign, which was burned, and placed near the men’s bathroom entry door. The fire did not cause any damage to the bathrooms and was very small in size. Witnesses described the suspect as a male riding a bicycle and left in an unknown direction.
#2020-286060/East Precinct/Second Watch:
On 10-6-2020 at 1135 hours, 15 protesters walked from Cal Anderson Park to the East Precinct. The protesters had procured several dozen bags of garbage. As they arrived at the precinct, they tossed the bags over the fence and piled multiple bags along the sally port roll up door. Officers exited the precinct and the protesters ran away back to Cal Anderson. Officers photographed the area and removed the bags.
#2020-286068/North Precinct/Second Watch:
On 10-6-2020 at 1100 hours, the complainant lives in the Jackson Park neighborhood of North Seattle. He is a supporter of a current political candidate and actively posts messages on online social media sites. Today he found a package on his doorstep containing uncooked chicken parts soaked in presumably fake chicken blood. Inside this package were also photos of another political candidate. A handwritten note with the box ordered the victim to stop posting his pro-candidate messages. There was no explicit threat and no damage to the victim’s property. This has not happened to him before.
#2020-286337/North Precinct/Second Watch:
On 10-6-2020 at 1715 hours, officers responded to the area of N 103 St and Dayton Av N, where four subjects were reported to be in a physical fight, with one of them said to be holding a pipe. Upon arrival, parties were separated, and while one party was found to be the primary aggressor, none of the other parties wanted to participate in the investigation. The primary aggressor `push kicked’ an officer in the groin, causing significant pain, but no injury. Arrestee was booked into the King County Jail for Assault 3.
#2020-286502/North Precinct/Third Watch:
On 10-6-2020, officers were dispatched to a shooting call near N 137th St and Aurora Av N. Officers arrived and located a male victim with one gunshot wound to his leg. Officers rendered aid until Seattle Fire arrived and took over. The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center. The suspects left in a silver Mercedes Sedan and were not located.
#2020-286532/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
On 10-6-2020 at 2034 hours, officers responded to the 5200 block of Delridge Way SW for a disturbance onboard a Metro coach. The bus driver requested police assistance with removing an unruly passenger. The King County Sheriff’s Office advised they had units responding but from the Tukwila area and requested SPD respond. Upon the officers’ arrival, they approached the open bus door to contact the parties involved. The suspect approached the open door, raised a personal sized can of pepper spray, and deployed the contents of the spray can at approaching officers. Both officers were struck by the spray on their clothing but were otherwise unaffected by it. The suspect ceased her assaultive behavior when a taser was produced and spark tested. Officers deescalated the situation verbally and the suspect was taken into custody without further incident or the need to use force. KCSO arrived and issued a 365-day Metro admonishment prior to the suspect being booked into the King County Jail for assault on the officers.
