Suspect arrested for Animal Cruelty in North Seattle

Officers on Friday night arrested a 32-year-old man on Animal Cruelty charges after it was reported that he was dragging a cat on a rope behind a bicycle that he was riding. Officers had responded to a 911 call in the 9000 block of 13th Ave NW around 9:15 p.m. and were interviewing witnesses when the suspect was pointed out to them. Officers quickly contacted the suspect and took him into custody. The cat had visible injuries as a result of having the rope tied tightly around its body and having been dragged for an unknown distance. Officers took the cat to a local emergency veterinary clinic for treatment. The suspect was booked into King County Jail.
