Police on their way to a possible shooting scene Wednesday evening learned the victim had already been transported to a Seattle Fire Station.
Just before 11:30 p.m., multiple callers to 911 reported hearing gun shots near the intersection of South Cloverdale Street and Rainier Avenue South. While officers were on their way to the area, Seattle Fire reported a victim had been dropped off at Fire Station 28, approximately 1.5 miles north on Rainier Avenue South. The driver was an unknown subject who quickly departed. Firefighters immediately began treating the 20-year-old male, who had multiple gunshot wounds. SFD medics then transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.
Police located shell casings in a parking lot in the 8600 block of Rainer Ave South and detectives are investigating this incident. Anyone with information should call the tip line at 206-233-5000.
