#2021-21104/West Precinct/Third Watch:

On 01-26-2021 at 0034 hours, officers responded to a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, the Washington State Patrol and Seattle Fire were out with the victim who sustained a non-life-threatening head injury. Victim stated they were NB on Aurora AV N when a black Mazda refused to let the victim vehicle pass. Suspect vehicle then pulled alongside the victim vehicle and shot at the victim vehicle, striking it numerous times. Victim was struck by one of the shots fired from the suspect vehicle which then drove off. Victim then also fled the scene to where he stopped and called 911. An area check for a crime scene resulted in negative results. Victim was transported to a hospital for medical treatment via AMR. Victim vehicle was impounded to the processing room for evidence collection and follow up by the Gun Violence Reduction Unit.

#2021-021263/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:

On 01-26-2021 at 0730 hours, an incident occurred at the Safeway located at the 2600 block of California Ave SW. At approximately 0730, the suspect was inside the Safeway with a basket full of store items. The suspect walked past all points of sale. A store employee confronted the suspect by the front doors, and the suspect brandished a bladed instrument (box cutter) from an unknown pocket to threaten him. The suspect swung the box cutter at the victim twice, and he backed off for his safety and fear of being cut. The suspect left the area in a Honda Accord. Officers conducted an area check for the suspect’s vehicle, but it checked clear. Evidence was collected at the scene.

#2021-300065/South Precinct/Second Watch:

On 01-26-2021 at 1100 hours, detectives from the Gun Violence Reduction Unit and the ATF Task Force conducted a surveillance/arrest operation to locate a known gang member. Detectives developed probable cause to arrest the suspect for Harassment-Threats to Kill and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. The detective on the case was also investigating the suspect for a shooting. The suspect was taken into custody in the 1500 block of 4th Avenue South, and a search warrant was served on the suspect’s vehicle. A search warrant was then served at a residence in Federal Way. During the service of the warrant, 10mm ammunition and a firearm magazine were recovered. The suspect was booked into the King County Jail for Harassment and UPFA.

#2021-21794/East Precinct/Second Watch:

On 01-26-2021 at 1737 hours, a male reported that he was in the area to sell a pair of shoes to an unknown person. 2 suspects approached the victim who was waiting in his vehicle. They entered his vehicle and one of the suspects pointed a firearm at the victim. They demanded his cell phone and told him to get out of the vehicle. The suspects fled the area with the victim’s vehicle. An area check for the stolen vehicle was unsuccessful.  

#2021-021885/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:

On 01-26-2021 at 1954 hours, officers responded to the area of Fauntleroy Way SW and SW Alaska St. Multiple callers and victims around the Whole Foods at Sw Alaska St and Fauntleroy Way SW were calling 911 to report a series of in-progress incidents. The calls began when the suspect robbed at gun point two pedestrians on foot and threatened to kill them if they called 911. He then walked to a car parked nearby and pointed the gun at occupants of the vehicle and proceeded to demand money from 2 of the 4 occupants. The suspect then continued to a victim at a nearby BECU ATM and pointed the gun at the victim’s head demanding money. The victim’s wife saw this happening, and the suspect addressed her telling her to “go back to your country I’m going to kill your husband”. Officers located the suspect and took him into custody. The gun was recovered from the suspect’s pocket during the arrest. The suspect was booked into the King County Jail for Felony Harassment and Investigation of Robbery x2. The bias elements of the crime were screened with two Lieutenants.
