#2021-033562/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:
On 02-09-2021 at 0030 hours, a male stated that he was at 3 Ave/Pike St and a fight broke out. The victim attempted to separate the group that was fighting, and he was stabbed by an unknown sharp object on the back of his right shoulder. The suspect is unknown. The victim left the area and returned home to West Seattle. Seattle Fire responded and treated the victim, and he was transported to Harborview Medical Center by AMR with non-life-threatening injuries.
#2021-033547/North Precinct/First Watch:
On 02-09-2021 at 0406 hours, officers arrived at a commercial burglary alarm at a large church and preschool. Forced entry was found, and a suspect was seen inside staging stolen items in a pull cart. Containment was established, K9 responded, and the suspect was eventually taken into custody after he was found wedged between two exterior sheds against the building. Level 1 Use of Force completed for firearm pointing.
#2021-034002/North Precinct/Second Watch:
On 02-09-2021 at 1556 hours, Seattle Fire responded to a large rubbish fire in front of a shuttered business at 1909 NW Market ST. The large rubbish fire consisted of shopping carts and property generally associated with houseless encampments. The fire was approximately 20 ft x 20 ft in size and caused damage to parts of the business. It is unknown at the time of this writing if the fire was intentionally set but a witness described an individual adding additional debris to make the fire bigger. A fire marshal responded and SPD’s Arson Bomb Squad was notified and will conduct the follow-up.
