#2021-046187/East Precinct/First Watch:
On 02-24-2021 at 0915 hours, a Toyota Rav-4 was travelling northbound on 10 Av E approaching E Newton St. For reasons yet to be determined the vehicle swerved right towards the parking lane and struck a male who was standing outside of his work van. The pedestrian, a 65-year-old male was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver, a 66-year-old female was transported to Harborview Medical Center unconscious and in critical condition. It is believed but not confirmed the driver may have suffered a medical emergency.
#2021-46355/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:
On 02-24-2021 at 1309 hours, officers responded to a hazard call near 4453 California AV SW for a high/intoxicated or in crisis male walking in the roadway, yelling at passing vehicles. As officers were trying to detain the subject for an ITA the subject resisted. During the handcuffing, the subject dropped to his knees and deliberately trapped one of the officer’s left arm under his body. The subject then deliberately rolled on the officer’s left hand, which the subject still had trapped between his body and the curb causing injury to the officer’s left hand. The officer was transported to the hospital to receive medical treatment for his injured hand. The subject was booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Assault.
#2021-046711/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
On 02-24-2021 at 2021 hours, while the victim was at work during the day, the suspect parked in the driveway. It appears that the window was forced open and the suspect climbed inside. The suspect ransacked the home and stole ammunition, gear, camping supplies, and kitchen items. At this time, no other homes in the immediate area were burglarized.
