Group Target West Precinct With Graffiti Same Day Protective Barrier is Removed

Officers from the West Precinct spent a portion of their shift cleaning the front of the building after protesters targeted the building with graffiti, shortly after the city removed the wall protecting the facade.

Tuesday afternoon the city of Seattle removed the eco-block wall surrounding the front of the building. A group arrived at the West Precinct around 8 PM to protest inequity in policing. While in front of the building, members from the group used spray chalk to write on the building and walkway.

The West Precinct remains closed to the public to meet CDC guidelines during the COVID-19 pandemic.
