#2021-078087/East Precinct/Third Watch:

On 04-01-2021 at 0155 hours, an adult male victim was walking in the 1600 block of E Pike St when a red Toyota Camry with no plates on it pulled up. The three suspects in the vehicle tried to contact the victim. The victim attempted to flee but the suspect vehicle pulled into his path and cut him off. The suspects exited the vehicle and assaulted the victim while taking his belongings. Suspects were not located during an area check by responding officers. The victim attempted to track his stolen iPhone but was unable to. The victim was treated for minor injuries by Seattle Fire.

#2021-78347/West Precinct/Second Watch:

On 04-01-2021 at 0941 hours, while inside of Uwajimaya, a subject was asked by security to leave for refusing to put on a mask. The subject lit a cigarette and refused to leave. When security pressed the issue for the subject to leave, the subject put it has hand in his pocket as if he had a gun and said, “you don’t want to see what is in my pocket”. During this exchange the suspect also said to security “I hate Asians.” The subject left on his own before officers arrived. There was no further incident.

#2021-78759/South Precinct/Second Watch:

On 04-01-2021 at 1723 hours, a male was standing outside a construction site at which he was working when the suspect vehicle drove by. This vehicle passed victim, turned around, and returned. Suspect (driver and sole occupant of vehicle) fired one round at victim, striking victim in abdomen. Suspect drove off and out of area. Victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center. The Gun Violence Reduction Unit responded and assisted with processing scene. GVRU detective also responded to HMC.

#2021-078860/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:

On 04-01-2021 at 1848 hours, officers were dispatched to a suicidal person in the 3300 block of SW 112th Pl. Officers determined the subject was going to be detained and sent to the hospital for an evaluation. The subject struggled with officers. The subject was placed into custody and placed into an ambulance. Three officers were injured during this incident but none of the officers needed medical care at the scene. No reportable use of force used.
