#2021-095822/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 04-20-2021 at 0244 hours, officers were dispatched to 51 Av S / S Cambridge St to investigate a shooting. A witness told police that he saw a male and a female arguing outside an apartment on 51 Av S. As the female drove away, the male fired one shot at her vehicle. Officers arrived and found evidence of a shooting. No damage found. Everyone left before SPD arrived. Patrol processed the scene. The report will forward to the Gun Violence Reduction Unit.

#2021-095815/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 04-20-2021 at 0225 hours, while on routine patrol, an officer observed smoke coming out of a restaurant and requested Seattle Fire. SFD responded and put out the fire. SFD Fire Marshal responded and concluded that the fire was accidental. Fire Marshal will notify SPD Arson Bomb Squad if anything changes.

#2021-95972/East Precinct/First Watch:

On 04-20-2021 at 0600 hours, a female victim woke up to find her front door slightly ajar and that someone had used a red pen to write a racially-based threat across her door. The victim is a mother of four and is significantly afraid for the safety of herself and children.

#2021-96093/East Precinct/First Watch:

On 04-20-2021 at 1100 hours, multiple callers reported a disturbance between a male and female. Investigation revealed unknown circumstances however the witnesses reported the male grabbing the female by the hair while inside of the vehicle to keep her inside while witnesses heard her yell “Let me out”. The vehicle drove away with the female’s feet dangling outside of the moving vehicle and passenger door still open.

#2021-096510/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 04-20-2021 at 2048 hours, officers responded to a report of multiple shots heard, near the intersection of Renton Ave S / S Barton St. Officers arrived and located evidence of a shooting at the scene. Based on their investigation, officers determined one suspect fired at the victim vehicle, after a possible traffic dispute, and then fled the area in a red Dodge Challenger. Area check was negative for the suspect vehicle. No bullet damage was located and there were no reported injuries. Gun Violence Reduction Unit Detectives responded and assisted with processing the scene. GVRU will handle follow up responsibilities.
