#2021-111049/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 05-07-2021 at 0053 hours, officers responded to reports of someone shot in the 3800 block of Letitia Ave S. Officers arrived to find an adult male with multiple gunshot wounds. Officers rendered medical aid until relieved by Seattle Fire. It appeared the victim had just exited a vehicle, driven by a family member, when an unknown suspect drove up and shot him multiple times. The suspect vehicle then fled SB on Letitia Ave S. The family member did not directly observe the incident and could not provide a vehicle description. The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition. After the incident was screened with the Homicide Unit, the Gun Violence Reduction Unit processed the scene and recovered evidence. One involved vehicle was impounded. The GVRU will handle follow-up responsibilities.

#2021-111051/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 05-07-2021 at 0104 hours, officers were responding to a shooting call with one person down. Unit 2 was driving in front of Unit 1. Unit 2 arrived on scene and stopped. Unit 1 was unable to stop in-time and rear-ended Unit 2. Unit 2 officer was ok and declined medical. Unit 1 officer was sent to Swedish ER 1st Hill for his injury. The collision was screened with Traffic Collision Investigations. Sergeant on scene. South Precinct Captain was advised. Patrol processed the scene. Both vehicles were towed to Charles St.

#2021-111069/East Precinct/Third Watch:

On 05-07-2021 at 0203 hours, officers responded to a female in crisis located at a shelter. Officers attempted to detain the women and she began to assault them. The suspect intentionally punched, kicked, scratched and spat on them. A spit sock was applied, and she continued to spit on officers through the spit sock. The female was arrested for multiple counts of Assault 3. One officer sustained a minor injury during this incident.

#2021-111716/West Precinct/Second Watch:

On 05-07-2021 at 1657 hours, patrol officers, the Gun Violence Reduction Unit, and Narcotics conducted surveillance/arrest operations in shots fired hotspot locations throughout the city. The suspect was observed at 3/Pine St. The suspect had an outstanding U.S. Marshal’s warrant for his arrest. The suspect was arrested in possession of a stolen handgun.

#2021-111724/West Precinct/Second Watch:

On 05-07-2021 at 1700 hours, a shooting was reported at 10th and Jackson. Officers responded and located a victim with a gunshot wound to the hand. The suspect was witnessed heading N/B on 10th on a scooter. Callers reported seeing the shooter going into a construction site (large apartment complex). The site was contained, and SWAT and Guardian 1 were notified. While SWAT was en route, Guardian 1 was able to locate the suspect hiding on the upper floors of the building. Upon arrival of SWAT/Hostage Negotiation Team, we began hailing using the L-RAD and SWAT made entry into the building. They eventually located the suspect, who refused to cooperate. After some convincing, the suspect gave up. The weapon was not located however, there is independent video of the event. The suspect was booked into the King County Jail for Assault 1 and UPFA.

#2021-111800/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:

On 05-07-2021 at 1843 hours, officers responded to 4100 block of Admiral WY SW for a 911 call regarding a subject banging on the windows of Starbucks and cursing and yelling at customers. The suspect kept returning to Starbucks despite requests from staff for him to leave. Witness stated that he observed the suspect screaming at the victim who was an employee of Starbucks. The witness stated the suspect was standing approximately one foot away from victim and that he thought the suspect was going to assault the victim. The witness stepped in between the suspect and victim and told the suspect to back away. The witness said that the suspect initially calmed down, got down on his knees, and asked for help. Then then the suspect suddenly became aggressive again and screamed “Watch yourself or I’ll come back with a freaking gun.” The suspect was arrested and booked into the King County Jail for felony harassment without incident.
